Last day you did something that created a guilt feeling. You are feeling continuously bad about that situation and what you did. You days are restless and you are not able to sleep. You see them in your dreams. It may be because of absence of principles or too biased principles of your life.
In the day, we do many things ranging from social interaction, making decisions, judging others and most importantly judging ourselves on the basis of one or more principles which may not be acknowledge by us. Confusion evolves. Someone insult us and we think deeply whether it will be morally good to take revenge? And sometimes after taking revenge we feel guilt. We did something for ourselves and feel guilt later that it was nothing but selfishness. We think that acknowledgement of us being great is selfishness. Sometimes we feel that showing up ourselves and our best of talent make us self-centered. All these circumstances interrupts the normal working of our brain and lead us towards failure.
What is use of such principles of life that take us to nowhere? A little long ago, I felt the need to have some principles in my life which can allow me to concentrate on my best potential and at the same time help me to generate energy in my body and mind to achieve whatever I ever wanted while at the same time taking care of not to offend any other person.
The principles listed below helped me to raise my self-confidence and get rid of guilt feeling on the basis that I am not myself and I have other personality which is making and will make me to reach the heights:
Carpe Diem – Seize the day and put as little trust as you can in tomorrow
There is no tomorrow. One must make priorities and execute it on time.
“I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately. I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life. To put to rout all that was not life; and not, when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived.”
– Henry David Thoreau
Vengeance, because one has dual-personality
One must acknowledge that one has dual personality.
Primary-personality which is unbiased and cannot be judged, emotionless, the personality behind our successes and failures, the sole personality with the help of which we can achieve anything we want, and
Secondary-personality which is biased and the dealing hand of oneself which can feel pain, sorrow, happiness and other emotions, the personality which we feel we are.
One must not turn back towards the misdeeds done to oneself. One has no authority to disrespect one’s primary-self. One must find peaceful ways to settle disputes and if the offender is too offensive then one must destroy his offensiveness by taking any action. It will benefit other people and will ensure that no one will ever get suffered by the same offender again.
“It was not my choice to choose, neither it is, I must respect my primary-self else I will be ruined.”
Indulgence, no harm in using material things
Most will say do this, don’t do this, use this, don’t use this, this world is a material thing and we are children of gods. Oh please! The man who lies 99 times a day, working for his own good is telling all these things? No one is abstaining from materialistic world. It is made to satisfy ourselves but to an extent. The extent can be defined only by oneself as long as it doesn’t hurt sentiments of others.
“I can indulge in any material world as long as it doesn’t become my habit or harm someone.”
No Love for Ungrateful people
Those who are not grateful doesn’t deserve to be loved. They have no right to be praised or receive love. It is a waste of love and disrespect of one’s primary-self. If the person is not capable of reverting back or is ignorant, it is a waste of energy to shower love on such person.
“I rather shower my love on the person worth loving rather than wasting it on ungrateful ones.”
One can destroy and one can build oneself
One doesn’t know the immense capability of oneself to achieve things that one can’t even think of. One should put ones’ primary-self above all hatred and love. Demand from primary-self and one will be guided towards the right path.
“I must acknowledge that there is only one thing that can do anything for me and that is my primary-self.”
Dreams without execution is a sin
Any dream or plan which is not yet executed is a sin. As soon as any idea strike one’s mind, one should do every effort to execute it, achieve it and make it a reality no matter how difficult it would be to reach that stage. It would not be a wise decision to disrespect your primary-self who showed you a path, a target to achieve.
“I must accomplish what I dreamed of, else there is no meaning of my life.”
One is 100% responsible for one’s own deeds
Gone are those days when luck and other factors were accounted. There is no doubt on their existence but the acknowledgement of it never helped. One must take full responsibility of one’s own work. Success and failure would not have occurred unless one performed for it.
“I am 100% responsible for my own deeds, if I fail it is my fault and I will get back up again, and if I win I will rejoice and praise myself for what I have done.”
We are meant to shine
One should not feel guilt or intimidated while showing any talent or praise worthy work with the feeling in mind that it would not be appropriate to flaunt or show off. If one possess something extraordinary than one must show it with full confidence and it will also motivate others to show best of their potential.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It’s not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
– Marianne Williamson
In the end, there is nothing impossible when one has the consistency and an urge to do whatever and whenever the situation deserves.
